Personal, never generic
Your relationship, your words and your chosen setting guide the design. Templates are a helpful beginning, not a restriction.
A small family workshop in West Cornwall
Care matters, especially when the words do.
In Memory Plaques was created to make ordering a personal outdoor tribute feel calmer, clearer and more human.
About us
Made by people who understand that this is more than a plaque
In Memory Plaques is the memorial plaque range of Engrave Express. We are a small, family-run engraving workshop in Cornwall and do not treat memorial work like a production line. A name, a date or a few carefully chosen words can carry enormous meaning, so every order deserves patience and attention.
Our aim is simple: help you create something tasteful, durable and personal without making the process feel difficult. You can use our guided Etsy designer if you would like to arrange it yourself, or send us your ideas and let us help.
Each finished design is prepared for the workshop, checked for safe margins and engraved with a permanent high-contrast result.
Honest material choices
We use rust-free 1.6 mm engraving laminate in brass or steel effect because it gives an elegant outdoor finish without the upkeep of solid brass.
Help when you need it
If a designer feels like too much, send a photograph, sketch or even an unfinished thought. We will help turn it into a balanced tribute.
Care beyond the engraving
We explain size, fixings, placement and maintenance clearly, so the plaque looks right after it leaves our workshop too.
Made to stay beautiful
A lasting finish, with very little asked of you
Memorials should bring comfort, not create another maintenance job. Our engraving laminate will not rust and does not need polishing. In ordinary outdoor settings, a soft damp cloth is usually all it takes to remove dust, rain marks or garden residue.
- For everyday care
- Wipe gently with clean water and a soft cloth, then dry.
- Please avoid
- Metal polish, abrasive pads, solvents and harsh chemical cleaners.
- For the finishing touch
- Choose optional polished brass screws to complement a brass-effect plaque.
Our promise
“We will treat the wording you entrust to us with the care we would want for our own family.”
That means clear communication, thoughtful layout and no pressure to design alone.
